Dan S. Bagley III
Dan
enjoys life as an educator and a businessman. For two decades he
has worked as a human performance expert, consulting and conducting
seminars nationally and internationally. In doing so he combines
his background in business and education with his ongoing research
into human performance factors.
Dan
is president of Bagley and Associates, a company dedicated to improving
human performance through personal coaching and seminars. He is
also a former founding partner of Sterling Research Group, an international
market research company, and is a former founding director of Seahawk
Deep Ocean Technology, the company that discovered and excavated
the first Spanish colonial galleon found in deep water. He is additionally
a tenured professor of mass communications at the University of
South Florida in Tampa.
Dan
is author of numerous publications for Promotional Products Association
International. He is the longest-running faculty member of PPA's
executive and sales development seminars, with over 20 years of
instruction and coaching experience. Dan is co-author of the internationally-acclaimed
book, Beyond Selling: How to Maximize Your Personal Influence, which
is now published in four languages. He has also published over 80
articles on communication, business and creative behavior.
Dan's
love is working to empower individuals and organizations through
helping them establish their individual and group purpose and then
teaching the most appropriate personal and team skills for realizing
that purpose. Seminar topics include: Uncaging Your Creative Potential,
How to Maximize Your Personal Influence, A.C.T.I.O.N.S. for Greatness,
How to Have the Time You Need, and combinations of the above to
suit specific client needs.
His
corporate clients over the years have included such diverse companies
as General Electric, Sperry & Hutchinson, Dun & Bradstreet,
Libby-Owens Ford, American Floral Services, Publix, GTE and Malrite
Communications.
Dan's
academic background includes a B.S. in Advertising from Florida
State University, an M.B.A. from the University of Hawaii (earned
in night school while serving as an Army Medical Service Corps officer
in Japan), and a Ph.D. in communications from the University of
Tennessee. His academic honoraries include Beta Gamma Sigma (Business),
Kappa Tau Alpha (Mass Communications), and Phi Kappa Phi (Interdisciplinary).
He is a certified Master Level NLP Practitioner and is a colleague
of the Creative Education Foundation.
Dan
is married to Dr. Ann Hero Bagley, his partner and best friend.
They have two children, Drew and Jana.
