To heal is to touch with love what we previously touched with fear.

Coaching comment:
We live in a world where war is the metaphor
of choice
and we wonder why we can't find peace.
We try to heal our society with:
- a war on poverty,
- a war on crime
- a war on terrorism
- a war on ignorance
- a war on drugs
all the while yearning for peace.
Victory over a foe is often won in battle, but peace is not.
Peace is not the absence of war.
It is the absence of the fear, anger, greed and mistrust that fuel
war.
Peace comes from love and forgiveness.
It is an inside-out proposition.
It comes from the heart and radiates outward.
It includes rather than opposes.
Our greatest enemies of WWII are among our strongest allies today.
It's not because we knocked them down.
It's because we helped them up, and in doing so fostered peace.
